Physician Assistant or ARNP - Emergency Department
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team for weekend emergency department coverage. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, particularly in emergency medicine. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care, performing physical examinations, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
•Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments of patients.
•Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
•Perform suturing and other minor surgical procedures as necessary.
•Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate patient records.
•Implement infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
•Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
•Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and execute patient care plans.
•Participate in hospice palliative medicine initiatives to enhance quality of life for patients with serious illnesses.
•Respond to emergency situations with appropriate medical interventions.
Skills
•Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
•Proficiency in performing physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests.
•Experience in critical care settings is highly desirable.
•Ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to patients and families.
•Familiarity with infection control practices and emergency medicine protocols.
•Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient management.
