Radiologic Technologist - Radiology
Hillsboro Community Hospital is looking for a Radiology Technologist to join our team.
We are a 15-bed critical access hospital located in Marion County, close to Marion Reservoir Lake and on the edge of the scenic Flint Hills. Hillsboro is less than an hour’s drive from Wichita to the South, Salina to the North, Hutchinson to the West, and Emporia to the East.
We pride ourselves on providing top quality medical care for Hillsboro and all of Marion County. Our services include an emergency department, full-service laboratory, inpatient care, physical therapy, radiology, surgery, swing bed, specialty clinics, and a family practice clinic.
We are seeking a Radiology Technologist who would like to work in a more relaxed environment.
Schedule can be flexible with 8 hour shifts Monday – Friday plus rotating on call weekends and evenings
Radiology Technologist Duties:
•Assist patients to and from exam room explaining what is going to happen and answer any questions
•Help patients be comfortable and ensure proper protection is in place
•Review physician orders to ensure complete exam information, preparation requirements, and coding compliancy needs are met
•Consult with Radiologist when necessary
•Follow infection control policies and organize and disinfect work area and equipment
Radiology Technologist Requirements:
•Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from JRCERT approved college or technical program; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in hospital radiologic environment, including CT, preferred.
•Current licensing by the State of Kansas
