Lead Radiology Technologist - Radiology
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Radiology Technologist to oversee diagnostic imaging services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of medical imaging modalities, including X-ray and CT. The Lead Radiology Technologist will ensure the delivery of high-quality diagnostic evaluations while maintaining compliance with safety protocols and technical standards.
Duties
•Work closely with the Radiology Manager to supervise and coordinate daily radiology operations, ensuring accurate and efficient diagnostic imaging procedures.
•Perform a wide range of imaging examinations including X-ray and CT scans.
•Assist in training and mentoring technologists and radiology staff to uphold departmental standards.
•Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to radiation exposure and patient care standards.
•Manage equipment maintenance schedules and troubleshoot technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
•Participate in quality assurance program and medical staff meetings.
•Work closely with the Radiology Manager to ensure policies are up to date and maintained in department.
•Work with the Radiology Manager on scheduling for the department.
Requirements
•Proven experience in diagnostic radiology with expertise in multiple modalities including X-ray and CT.
•Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
•Demonstrated leadership skills with prior supervisory or lead technologist experience preferred.
•Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) required.
•Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and patient education.
