Materials Manager - Purchasing
Hillsboro Community Hospital is looking for a Materials Manager to add to our team.

Hillsboro Community Hospital is a 15 bed critical access hospital. We pride ourselves on providing top quality care for Hillsboro and the surrounding area of Marion County. Services include diagnostic and therapeutic services, 24 hour emergency care, outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures, convenient and specialized outpatient resources, and other services designed to improve the health and well-being of our community.

The Materials Manager works under the guidance of the CEO and directs and coordinates activities in purchasing and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies for the hospital.

What You Bring/Job Requirements:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified Materials Manager candidates will need the following:
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
•Ability to organize the workings of the storeroom and central supply, receiving, issuing, and delivering supplies and equipment to each facility department
•Ability to analyzes market and delivery conditions within the facility to determine present and future material availability
•Ability to reconcile credit card statement to vendor invoice codes
•Ability to prepare and issues purchase orders and changes notices, as well as validates purchase orders in relation to invoices and/or packing slips
•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Materials Manager Requirements:
•Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
•Previous hospital/medical purchasing experience preferred
•Knowledge of computers – accounting, database, and inventory software; order processing systems; spreadsheets and word processing
•Current Drivers License

Medium Work Exertion:
•Frequently required to stand and walk
•Occasionally required to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
•Regularly life and move up to 25 lbs, occasionally required to lift and move up to 50 lbs
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Shift: Monday – Friday Days 8:00am – 5:00pm
