Medical Lab Tech/Scientist
Hillsboro Community Hospital is looking for a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician or Scientist
The successful Lab Technician candidate will undertake a variety of laboratory procedures of technical nature. You will be handling sensitive equipment to analyze samples and conduct tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients. The ideal candidate will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions and will be passionate for doing work that makes things move forward. The goal is to optimize lab procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used to make a difference for the patients in the communities we serve.
What You Bring/Job Requirements:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified Lab Technician candidates will need the following:
•MLT/MLS with ASCP Certification or equivalent
•Phlebotomy experience preferred
•Basic keyboarding skills
•Ability to work in occasionally stressful situations
•Ability to work both independently and as a team
Lab Technician Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
Shift: Monday – Friday Days and Rotating On-Call Evenings & Weekends (shared equally between all techs)
