Biography:

Dr. Jason Burk, DNP, CRNA, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is triple board-certified in nurse anesthesia, family nurse practitioner, and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Jason attended the University of Kansas, graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Before attending nurse anesthesia school, he obtained critical care experience at Wesley Medical Center in the emergency and surgical ICU departments. After graduating from Texas Wesleyan University in 2006 with a Master in Nurse Anesthesia, Jason immediately began working in an all CRNA group providing anesthesia and analgesia care. In 2016 Jason completed a Post Masters Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University. In 2019, Dr. Burk graduated with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Creighton University. He earned the DNP excellence award for his project on the use of ketamine in patients with treatment-resistant depression. Discovering a passion for mental health, Dr. Burk obtained another Post Masters Certificate as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2021 from Washburn University. Jason is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Kansas Association of Nurse Anesthetists, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and has served in several board positions with the Kansas Advanced Practice Nurses Association. Dr. Burk is the 2022 recipient of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners state award for his contribution to increasing awareness and recognition of nurse practitioners throughout Kansas.
